April 1st Event

Any of you guys going to the Ferrari of Washington Event on the 1st?

 

Just to be clear, this event is by invitation only. If you didn't get an invite, don't just show up thinking you'll get in. Having said that, I got one and I'm definitely going.

Bought a car there...still no invite. I guess I won't be seeing you all there.

 

If I am in town next weekend, will be there. Just bought my 360 spider F1 from them two weeks ago.

Can't make it this year - business trip. I wonder what vintage car they wil have in the showroom this year; last year they had F-chat David Reese's 330 . . .

What is this event all about?

 

It's the dealerships anniversary party. Everyone gets all purdied up, walks around a bunch of beautiful cars drinking wine and eating brie and then we watch the Australian GP. Oh and if you're Russ Turner you get a speeding ticket!

Nah. I wore jeans last year. Some folks wear suits, most are business casual. There's usually a couple of kids in race suits even. You going?

Yep, the wife and I will be there.....an event we never miss.

 

I was going to pass, but the wife caught the invite on the kitchen table and wants to go. So, I think she is going to drag me............. poor me....

I'll be the one in jeans.

 

It's a nice time. We don't usually stay for the race, there's only a few good seats on the leather, folding chairs and projection TV's in the garage aren't the same as the club at home. But it has kind of become the "official" kick off to the F-Car enjoyment season each year and it's nice to catch up with all the F-Chat and FCA folks we haven't seen since late summer/early fall of the year before. I usually find new Ferrari trinkets to spend money on and there is always the gorgeous cars to enjoy in the comfort of indoors. It'll be good to see you and Julie seeing as you never called back about going out a few weeks ago! I might even wear jeans too, if it'll make you feel better.

Saturday should be in the 70's! Everyone bringing their F-Cars? I brought the RR last year, had three in our party, will again this year but I'm thinking maybe both F-Cars. Too bad it will be dark before it starts.
