    Ok it looks like April 22nd is as good of a day as any to meet here in Louisville. That is a Saturday and it is the kick-off to two weeks of Derby festivities. http://www.kdf.org/

    For those of you that would like to come from out of town on this day there will be a pretty decent airshow during the afternoon, and one of the countries largest firework shows in the evening.

    What we are planning on doing is having a short drive mid-morning and then stopping for lunch at a pre-determined site. There we could have a gathering of our cars, get a chance to talk to the owners, and have lunch. Then we can have a longer drive after lunch.

    The meeting places and the drive will be determined when we have a better understanding of how many cars will be there. It would be desirable to have a ball park figure in mind in the next week or so.

    Because the weather is unpredictable in April, I am looking at Saturday May 13 as the make up date if it rains.



    PLEASE PM ME IF YOU PLAN ON COMING AND LET ME KNOW HOW MANY CARS WILL BE IN YOUR GROUP.

    awww the weekend before would have been perfect. I'll see if I can go down as far as Indianapolis somehow, not sure how though.

    We could probably do long drives both times, just depends if we have people driving in from out of town.

    If we can lets try to list how many cars we think each of us will be bringing. We need this to figure out where to meet, plus I am going to try to get something in the local papers/media if we can figure out if it is just going to be a few of us (which is fine), or if it is going to be an event?


    So far I have four people coming:

    1971 Chevy Corvette
    1983 Ferrari 308
    2001 Chevy Corvette (modified)
    2004 BMW M3 (modified)

    I REALLY like that one (needs a wing though :)) but I think its a good $20-25k too high. He has a purple one with only 2k more miles (7k) thats $170, so I cant see why the two with 5k miles are $195??

    If I can find one in the $160-175k range I gobble it up fast :D

    Talk to Roy about it... he might be willing to negotiate, or find one with more miles. :D I wonder how much those spoilers cost

    Today I mapped out a route that would take about an hour and a half to complete. It has some highway miles, some main roads, and some country roads. We had talked about having two drives, one in the morning, and one in the afternoon. We could do this drive two times I suppose?

    Let me know if you guys think an hour and half is too long or too short.

    It is looking like we will have 10-15 cars.
