    Majd,

I'd love to, but I don't want to have to drive through Saudi from Kuwait all the way to Dubai...what is it? 8 or 10 hours?

    Mike in Kuwait

    Mike,
The road to Dubai is about 10 hours from Dhahran, so I would add 4 more hours if you are starting from Kuwait.
I think a better idea would be to send your car on a flat bed truck and pick it up in Dubai after few days.
I am not going to the run & hope some one will post some pics here after it is over.
Hopefully next year's event will go through all Gulf Countries.
    Regards.

Do you guys have a speed limit over there? Or do you have open roads like in Germany where there is no limit.

Have seen a few videos on YouTube with owners driving fast in the Middle East.

    BTW, Great photos.

Speed limit on Saudi highways is 120 Km/h.
According to the traffic police website, exceeding the limit is considered a class II violation & penalty is imprisonment for 5-15 days, a fine of SR 150-500 or both.
    http://www.rt.gov.sa/english/instruction1.php

Few years ago the traffic police started using unmarked vehicles with onboard radars and cameras.
