the mods have been having fun checking IP addresses, have now banned goober and think i'm him too... what say you? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Actually I think everyone in the Australian section is the same person. Man are my fingers sore from typing.
anything is possible, this is the internet where you could be talking to a dog if they hit enough keys !! Mark (MHH) should post a pic of the pair of you and swear on a stack of bibles if you guys are different then you must live in the same neighbourhood connecting to Internode at the same DHCP distribution centre where there are few other users. Basically when you connect to the ISP he has a block of numbers (real IP addresses) and the DHCP allocates an address each time you login in, unless they are running private addressing with NAT and this would explain the same address for many users. Yeah yeah that's it, Simon is allocating a real IP address (203s are real on the net) to each connection point and NATing private addresses out of this real IP address and this will give multiple addresses with the same IP address if they are in the same connection area. Now just tell us that you both connect to the same ISP and live next door to each other
What an absolute joek. They really should stop DickinG around, and just ban all the bona fide Aussie members, and keep the true trolls around... *shaking my head*
it's okay they cautiously believe we are different people now and goober has been restored to his usual reality-challenged state.
Hello all and particularly MARKPDX... you've stuffed up this time. INTERNODE, a South Aust based ISP, shares IP addresses between users. I know this because we had to lower security on our system to allow internode users access without getting booted off every transaction. MARKPDX, PM me and I'll put you onto my developers for the techo reasons. I think you owe Goobs and Ash a big apology. Please note EVERY Internode client will have a similar problem and their IP address may change during a single session. sheez, and I'm NOT the techo here...
EVERY one of our SA clients that use Internode have the same problem, and we've had to switch off part of our security protocols for just the Internode clients.
No actually. I much prefer the explanation that Ash, Goober, Nking and a dozen other users are the same person. That's a much more satisfactory explanation IMHO.
true, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it may be a space alien... but it's probably just a duck
me too, so far my garage has a Testarossa, GT4, Murcielago, M3, Renault 5 Turbo, Nissan 300ZX, GT3RS, X5... as if i'd just be some loser with only a noisy Fiat with a stuffed clutch slave cylinder...
