I continue to get anxiety over the end of ICE. I know that many (perhaps even most?) are excited about what the next generation of electrified cars portends. I am not. In order to mitigate a bleak future of cars that simply don’t appeal to me in the same way, I am trying to gather up the last/best ICE iterations. I think the GTS fits squarely in that lane. It’s an instant classic, and I am rapidly talking myself into one.

That said, at 6’6” 265lbs, will I fit? I have read many recent accounts of other larger fellas struggling to get comfortable in their GTS. Those accounts concern me, and obviously it’s hard to simply go sit in a GTS. Just how much smaller is the GTS than a regular 812 SF? I own one of those, it’s by far my most spacious, and comfortable car. I should mention, I don’t really need to be comfortable, I just need to be able to shoehorn myself in.

why not find one at a dealer to sit in.

Mine (not here yet) will have race seats which I believe might give you another few extra centimetres. Might be worth asking a dealer whether one can lower the race seats further

You will struggle, I think. I'm 6 4" and only just fit in mine (with race seats) - I need to position to seat somewhat awkwardly to be able to fit in with my head almost touching the roof.

Ordering the race seats without lifter adds a small amount of extra head room

But as mentioned above, go sit in one to be sure, if you can. Depending on whether you're tall in the legs, body etc it might be OK.

BTW I came from an 812 SF to a GTS, both with race seats. I found the interior space, leg room etc to be very similar. Maybe a touch less in the GTS.

I'm not big like you, but I found that the 812 GTS has more legroom than a 488 or F8. So if you are a long legged fella, it might work fine. As with a 458, 488 or F8 Spider, the challenge seems to be in the roof height department. But if it's a point of reference, I find there to be slightly more headroom in the 812 GTS over a 488 Spider. It's been a while since I last sat in the 812 SF, but the GTS strikes me as very similar. But as they are getting more and more common, it should be possible to sit in one. That's your best bet, because people are built very differently

While I don't have appreciable experience in a GTS, I often find my SF tight with the comfort seats at 6'4 so your mileage may vary. I would generally consider myself more legs than torso but still quite snug on the head.

It’s going to depend on your leg to torso ratio honestly. The issue with the GTS is you can’t lean the seat quite like the SF. At 6’4” I had a hard time with the GTS and comfort seats. With the race seats it was much more manageable. I don’t have overly long legs, but I still have the seat all the way back in the SF.

The North America demo car had the comfort seats, and a buddy of mine got his GTS with race seats. If I was going to order one, I’d have to do race seats.

This might sound crazy, but I actually move my carbon racing seat forward slightly in order properly fit in my 812. I actually pull this same maneuver with all my cars. I then exaggerate the recline of the seat, and crouch down in the seat, sort of half sitting on my butt and half sitting on my lower back. I do this to create headroom. Meanwhile, the steering wheel is basically between my knees. It sounds wacky, but I make it work.

I’m 6’2” with long legs and just make it in the GTS with the comfort seats. The 812SF was a tad better but not by much. With race seats you may just make it.

That's something that I will do as well depending on the amount of knee room available
