At $1,000, I'd think it would be able to cook you dinner too. Are they really worth a 2x-3x multiple to other leading manufacturers? Just curious.
Not for MY money! Find yourself a pair of David Clarks which someone will sell to you cheap or give to you after buying their Bose or Lightspeed. Then if you want, install the ANR conversion kit for $159.00 and laugh all the way to the bank!
The guys that I know that use them love them..... haven't tried them myself yet but will see if I can borrow a pair to see how they compair. C-130s are pretty loud so I always wear earplugs along with David Clarks.
I have a Telex (very light, my wife prefers it), a David Clark and a Bose. I prefer the Bose, use it all the time. My son has a David Clark and a Bose -- prefers the Bose. Yes, they were expensive, but flying is expensive.
I have had the 1st generation and now own 4 of the new Bose. They are well worth the money !!!!! Miles better than any other headset I have owned. The best headset and the best service you can get. Get a pair and you won't ever go back to anything else Vernon M20R
Whats up Vik, just signed up for here. I think I am going to go with the lightspeeds I was telling you about over email. I love bose headphones (I have the non-aviator ones), but for now I think ill stick with the lightspeeds. I might take advantage of Bose's 30 day trial offer to do an A/B of the sets while in the air.
What up Shivam. Great to see you here. Seems like a good plan. I just ordered a pair of Lightspeed 20xLc's for my fiancee.
The sports site you sent me a link to had the 20-3g on sale so I got those. It was only 50 bucks more and it came with 2 extra years of warranty. I figured 50 bucks for 2 years and the EQ was worth it. I am going to pick up the bose sets tonight or tomorrow for my 30 day free trial. I def want to A/B them.
