Ive heard a few gripes here & yesterday we had a Cop parked on the road outside of our informal Ferrari show in Palm Beach.

Do you feel like Cops are taking a greater interest in Ferraris now bcus of the 2 numbskulls in CA ?

No question more awareness. With all the scams that guy had going, it's given them more of an excuse to check into things, especially if things looks fishy(or out of line) from initial observation. Part of the war on terrorism. ;)

A friend just got pulled over and ticketed with OR plates in CA. That kind of thing.

of course, before we were all having a mid life crisis or drug traffickers, Now all Ferrari drivers are "Terrorists" :)

Middle aged drug trafficking terrorists.....sounds just like that recent CSI Miami episode with the guy who "had" diplomatic immunity and the yellow Lambo......Ferrari driver's are usually stock market swindlers or money launderer's IIRC.......LOL !!!

    Don't sell yourself short William.

It appears that the revenue enhancers are cranking up everywhere.

I suspect that the Feds must have laid out some grant money for enforcement.

I haven't noticed any extra enforcement here on the Oregon Coast. But then, they're always watching me. Once I get outside the city limits though, I'm pretty free to do as I like.

Watch out if you're driving the San Diego area freeways as the highway patrol is really cracking down! Usually one bike cop hiding with the radar gun, and 2 or 3 others waiting to nab you as you shoot by. They're not necessarily targeting Ferraris though, just speeders in general.

Amazing, I remember back in the 70s when the US used to give the USSR crap about being a Police State

and now we have our very own Police State, isn't that nice

Im from Canada, spent 5 months in Cali with my "modified" car. Smog laws are literally a joke and then they wonder why people are forced to register their cars in another state. Hmm lets see im a car hobbyist I can either register my car out of state or give up on my hobby, CHP are a bunch of clowns. Funny how they call them cheats.

    No they are not.

You my not like them because they give you a hard time, but that is no reason to call them clowns.

Don't know. It's possible they are looking closer at aFerrari's. With the Enzo wreck and the 512TR wreck, who knows.

Nope based on my discussions most exotic's are profiled because they drive fast and reckless. But now that the rice rocket crowd is taking that honor there is less of a tendency to go after Fcars unless they are rolling 20mph over the limit and out in the left hand lane. I'm 1 of 2 fcars in the local area and they all know me. Also because my brother in law is a retired trooper I usually don't have to many problems.
