They are cheaper than stock, can be cleaned and reused, and sound nice. Rumors abound about hp increase. I have them and I have 328 RWHP. I also have a tubi and NAPerformance headers. YMMV, Dave
K&N are decent when you can actually get the ones that fit, it's usually 1/2 and 1/2 for me. I have started a collection of K&N filters that do not fit.
I can't speak to K & N, but I would have to say the the BMC's are an excellent fit and make a huge difference in overall performance. I had a low RPM hesitation in my 360 that has completely disappeared upon installing the BMC filters. I have found that overall the performance is snappier as well. I saw in the 550 section one had done a dyno before and after installing the BMC filters abd showed a 25 HP increase! That encouraged me to try the BMC, and I am very glad I did!
K and Ns work. i've used them on dunno 10 vehicles. wash and reuse just be careful not to overoil. that will block airflow worse case if you really lather it on it may interfere with the MAF.
