So my alarm went off on my Cayman today and I had no idea why, but I guess now I have a clue, and correct me if I'm wrong. I used both the front and rear trunk, and left the car unlocked while I unloaded my stuff. I then moved the car to the parking lot, without unlocking it, and then after I left the car the alarm went off. So next time I will have to lock the car after I use the trunk(s) to keep this from happening?

    Over engineered IMVHO.

I remember on our 2004 986 S that you had to have the center armrest completely closed or the car would go nuts when you locked it. You didn't know if it was a trunk, a door or what. Had a friend tell us to check the center console.
