Looking at examples with carbon buckets exclusively. I'm assuming they are less comfortable than the Daytonas, but are they reasonably comfortable for occasional longer trips? They are somewhat cushioned.

I would say no on "comfy."

No issues for me on rides lasting 30 minutes. I've got a 90 minute trip coming up this weekend, and expecting to have to stop and stretch. I'm 6'4" by the way, so had to go racing seats.

    They do look amazing though.

I like them. No problems with them, though they aren’t soft by any means.

I wouldn’t buy a car without them, to me they are very comfortable.

For racing seats they are, just came back from the Piedmont Tour, 900 kms in 1 go, no backpain, no nothing.

perhaps where you want to also look into is if the racing buckets should be daytona or not daytona. when i sat in the daytona i found them to be very stiff and uncomfortable. I'm not sure about the non-daytona CF racing seats.

I find Daytona that I have in 458 more comfortable than the ones I shared picture of above in my 296.

But that car is also roomier for me in general so may be biased in that way.

I’ve got these in my 296. As of yesterday I’ve been in them for 3.3k miles. They are extremely supportive and entirely appropriate for a sports car with the characteristics of the 296.

I’m looking at a few examples with the leather done Daytona style in the center of the carbon buckets- is that less comfortable than the style above which is the same seat, just with the leather done differently.

I’d imagine the comfort would be the same but the Daytona style strips and stitching may offer more grip, not less comfort, since they’re on the surface. They also cost more. I didn’t get them since they made the seats look like they had six pack abs!

I daily with the racing seats, no issues - way better than say the bucket seats in porsches for entry, exit and comfort. Don’t get me wrong, they are not comfortable (the padding isn’t very spongy), they are just sculpted well to hold you snug.

look out for the size though, I ordered mine XL (I’m just under 6ft, medium build) and they are good , not sure how smaller sizes would be

I would say exceptionally comfortable, I am 6' 3". First Ferrari racing seat that felt this way for me.

    The padding is minimal.
    Adjustability is "near" zero.
    Appearance is perfect.
Support on mountain roads is perfect.
Its the shape that is particularly excellent. Feels more comfortable than you'd think.

1 hour drive didnt bother me. We'll see this weekend about a longer one.
5'11, husky build, 235lbs. Prior back injury.

It's comfy in my book and I've driven 300KM in one go, but I'm also in general not picky so YMMV.

My longest drive was 2 and 1/2 hours. I was fine. I’m 6 feet tall, 195 pounds. My only rub is not the seats on a long drive, it is the leg room. I can’t fully straighten out my legs and that gets a little uncomfortable after a few hours. The seats rock, and they look amazing.

Totally agree with post #8, these racing seats are much less comfortable than the previous racing seats in the 458/488. I really should not say uncomfortable as they set well but the padding is just hard as a rock.
