I have a 360. I am working with an artist who makes custom furniture out of stainless steel.

I would love to tie in some of my old used ferrari parts. I tried googling it, and I know the aftermarket ones are stainless, but I can't find anything on the factory ones. Given there is zero rust on it, it seems reasonable that they might have been?

Then I don't want to create a laundry list of unique pieces, but are there any commonly-replaced parts that ARE stainless steel?

Try a magnet on them as stainless is not generally magnetic.
Only magnetic stainless i know of is Duplex stainless but than is a very special use material.

They are austenitic stainless steel but low in chromium so they rust out easy and they are also mig welded.

My old 430 manifolds are stainless. Not magnetic at all. No rust at all. Interestingly though the precat section is quite magnetic.

Whats interesting is that in North America (maybe just the US), we have a different manifold.

I have zero rust on it, but since everyone is stating they are a semi-stainless, I'll probably avoid using them.

The art he does is cool because if you know what your looking at, you can tell they are scrap/automotive, but if you don't, you'd have no idea. He wouldn't like weld on a whole manifold, but would break it down into smaller pieces that he'd weave into it.

    Thanks for the responses!

The clam shell that covers the headers are stainless you could use them and they have the Ferrari logo etc.
