    i've never seen one around, and i was just wondering if anyone had that information to share with me. and if any black F50 owners are in the Cars and Coffee area, it would be much appreciated by all if you could make it out there someday.

    If I can close the deal from Bentley Long Island there will be a black F50 in LA.... Doesn't count I know, but close

    i didnt mean to specify it to that extent; and by "the cars and coffee area," i don't mean irvine, i just mean within a reasonable driving distance. it's a 45 minute drive for me.

    i wrote "L.A." in the thread title. if my accidental specification of the Cars and Coffee area threw some people off or prevented them from posting a reply, i hope they understand now. the whole point of posting this thread was to find out, not have people ask me the same question in a mocking tone.

    OK understood. They are very rare so youre not likely to have an owner anywhere near. I could be wrong but my understanding is that there is only one USA spec black car (ex-Jim Spiro, attached) which is not in California.

    I am informed the other black car was painted thus for Mike Tyson and has been re-painted red.

    never wouldve expected to see one in new jersey. i visited family there for new years and my God, there was waaaay too much snow. i was convinced no one owned any super ferraris. but apperently, im wrong.

    I know there is a very high-milage black F50 in Houston, TX. Last time I went to FOH, i was told that that F50 has around 37,000 Miles and that the owner tries to drive it almost every day, even if its just around the block. I think its a euro-spec car though.

    A member here saw a black F50 somewhere in California a year or two ago. I think it was seen during the Monterey week so its probably the same car from Houston, just in California for the event.

    Wait...
    ...are we talking about black F50s, or F50s owned by black people...? I'm confused... :)


    Close; 104092 (062/349) is black; and 104799 (125/349), one of the ex-Spiro F50s, is also black. From what I understand - and I could be wrong - there were four black F50s made worldwide, two of which came to the US.

    Interesting. So Tyson's car was also originally black and not a repaint I assume.

    Tyson's F50 was never black. He bought it red and sold it red.

    What is the history of Tysons car? When did he buy it, sell it, what dealer did it go through and where is it now? I was also under the impression that it was red and not black.
