I would like to know if there are any Ferrari owners in the Boise Idaho area? I’m considering moving my family to Boise from California and I’m in need of information and I would hate to move to a new town, state where I’m the only Ferrari owner. Also is there any clubs in the area such as “Ferrari Club of America” or local exotic clubs? Please reply back on what type of Ferrari you own and how’s the job market (Hi Tech) for Boise????

    Thx
    Rob

Yes, there are a few of us in Boise who own Ferrari. There is at least one 328, a 575 , and a couple of 355s. I am the former owner of a 328 and just this month will purchase a 355 Berlinetta.

Boise is a great life-style haven- lost cost of living, decent people, things to do, and open unpopulated roads full of twists and turns. QA of life is good here. Climate is mild in winter, yet snow close by if your into skiing. Summer is hot right now, but typically temperate. Good schools, low crime, cultural things to do- arts and events. But don't expect an overwhelming list of on-going things.

Entreprenerial atmosphere to job market. There is the high tech industry- Micron. Wages are going to be lower than CA, but reflected in lower housing costs- average price @ $235.000. ( I do real estate if you do decide to move and need some help.)

    Wow, now that's a shock.

That being said, there are a few Ferraris around. The aforementioned ones and at this past years Italian Car Club show there was a Boxer, 330GTC a 348, 355 Spider, and a couple of Mondials. I used to see a white 512TR and a green 456 around here and there but haven't for awhile. I've seen a 360CS once in Meridian (near Boise) but don't know if he lives in Boise or not.

The only issue I could see is that servicing might be a pain. I know of two shops here that have serviced Italian cars but as far as I know their experience is with older cars.
