Ten years ago or so, you could go Nevada and take your car out on a closed highway for some high speed experience and excitement. It looks like everything has now been shut down.

Does anyone know of a track where you can get a car up to 140-180 mph? I have some cars and motorcycles I'd like to take out and see what they can do and experience the feel of the car or bike as the designers expected it to be like.

(Whipping and sliding and braking and up and down shifting the car around a track is not what I'm looking for, already have that on the vacant canyon roads.)

At Autoclub speedway, I did 161mph in a stock 458 before turn 1. Not sure if that helps but you can try that track.

The silver state challenge does still exist. https://www.sscc.us/ I've just seen recent reviews in the past couple of years that they don't let you go out as fast as you can unless you have been doing it for years (but they keep you very limited) and it is expensive.

I agree locally, CA Speedway has a 120-170 zone if you have the balls to peg your car and can withstand the Gs, but it ends with a hairpin turn so you will quickly go from the 150+ to 20 MPH in no time

Willow Springs also has a nice straight away which has an easier turn!

It sounds like you want the mile runs they offer in Texas. You just missed this one, but the next one is only 10 months away! http://www.texasmile.net/eventschedule.php

Also remember the NoFlyZone and ShiftSector half mile events. Those are held at airports. A 458 from standing still will do 162-165mph there.

In October, There is the Mojave mile. Check their website for the exact date. It's a 1.5 miles runway.
