I won't mention sites, but it seems like some of the other chat rooms are full of kids that don't own a Lambo....but give their two cents anyways...any ideas? So far this Fcar site has been the best.

I've posted on several other Lambo sites. I never got much of a response. It appears that this site gets most of the traffic. IMO

The Fchat forum here is fun for folks looking to make the change from a Ferrari to a Lamborghini, and for folks to occasionally discuss the technical nature of the dark side.

Most Lamborghini owners stay at one place -- but the URL is banned from this forums for some strange reason. So instead, try this link:

    http://shorterlink.com/?NBWWWQWY

You will find a majority of the posters there are Lambo owners.

The only reason to go to LP is to see pics of Roy's ELFs. I found a lot of pretentious hypocrite jerks there, so I don't really post. If you make a comment about something and have less than 875,000 posts in a six month period, you get flamed and called a newbie. If Allan says the same thing, they all laugh and kiss his ass.

Granted, in person they might be really nice guys and fun to hang out and laugh with. But for some reason on the internet they come off as jerks.

I dunno, Adam. I like your posts so this definitely isn't a slight against you personally -

I think in these online forums, there are a lot of poseurs out there. Kids, wannabes, bench racers - they can tell you random useless stats on their favorite cars and supercars, and seem to have advice for every question out there. There's nothing worse than someone that is opinionated and uninformed, and you have to admit there is a lot of that on both F Chat and L Power.

I think F Chat is much more tolerant of these types of posters. On L Power, they seem to simply just call the person out more readily. When I first joined F Chat I had this idiot PM me about a 360 purchase. He still posts on here with over 2000+ posts and constantly makes comments like, "That's definitely the car I am buying" and "when that car is released I will purchase it."

The poster turned out to be 13 years old. He didn't even have 20 dollars to attend a local Ferrari event; what a waste of time, explaining the buying process to him when he had messaged me about a Modena purchase.

I have lurked on L Power for awhile and posted my first question yesterday. Within a few hours, I had 2 responses which were exactly what I was looking for - with a post total of 1, no profile, no avatar, and with a registration date over a year old.

I'm not defending L Power nor slighting F Chat. I like both communities. And I think with both come some great resources but also some unfortunate burdens.

I'm a Lambo owner and a long standing member of this forum, L Power and L Talk. F Chat is best for regional discussions (The Australian section is my most visited forum), but L Power is the most informative from an owner's point of view. That's primarily because it is the busiest Lambo forum. L Talk suffers from having too few active members.

L Chat is interesting as you often get a Ferrari owner's view as well which is sometimes more useful than the one-eyed enthusiast's view. Given just one Lambo forum to choose from though, L Power is best for an owner.
