They look a bit different, does anyone know? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=230018123659&ih=013&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT Also interesting; the trunk carpet is wrong, the rear deck badge is Ferrari script, the front is a Ferrari badge, yet it has a dino horn button.
Also the little horsey on the front grille appears to be popping a wheelie, or perhaps falling over backwards. Seriously though, that looks like an excellent GT4....very clean! I also like the boxer paint on these a lot, and those wheels look MUCH better than the Dino wheels.
They look like euro bumpers to me. I spoke to the dealer selling the car, they are asking $27,500 which is what the reserve is set at. The car is barely driven the past 17 years but supposedly had been serviced every year. Timing belt was done only a few thousand miles ago, but I think it has been 16-17 years. The dealer really knows very little about the car other than records it has and not sure if they know the details other than that they have lots of records of some sort, but they think they are selling it at a bargin price.
Those do look like the euro bumpers. Doesn't look to bad. My car also has the ferrari script on the back instead of the Dino script. It does look like the smog pump is missing though. In california, a 1975 car is exempt, but not sure if it may be required somewhere else. Dom
I sure wouldn't call 27,000 a bargain price. I have seen pretty nice Mondial 3.2's going for close to that. Of course there are people who are asking $40,000 for those cars as well. My own amateur worth-o-meter says this GT4 would be a good buy at $18,000.
But, speaking as a GT4 owner, I would like to see $27,000 as a bargain price for a GT4. I think these cars are way undervalued. Dom
It's interesting that most of the ones for sale these days, seem to be '75's too. Once they're all gone, what will be left?
Those are real Euro bumpers. Script is wrong but the original Dino308GT4 script is difficult to find and when you do find it, is $$$$. This looks every bit a US model with fairly decent job of putting Euro bumpers on. Lots of other tidbits not quite correct: door light is missing, interior door trim piece looks broken/missing, wrong shift knob. Decent looking interior though.... Gerrit
I think the days of the GT/4 under 20K will soon be over. Most seem to be priced between 25-40K. Get'em while there hot! Cheers! DT
