less prone to bending than the 5 stars? anyone using these for the snow and notice they hold up better? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Only comment is that they protrude a bit further out away from the car, so if you're parking next to a kerb then be careful. Other than that, I've got Szero's on mine, waiting for the snow or my CH trip, whatever comes first.
yeh def something to consider...altho i guess getting flats sucks more than scraping wheels in the winter!
I have them. 2nd winter with them. Not a day's trouble. Even had a rear tyre blow out at 150mph a year ago with no damage to the wheel. Plus they look a million times nicer than the "standard" wheel. Mine are silver not dark which lifts the look of the car
I believe they are forged. As to the rim lip coverage, that will be tire dependent. Just like with shoes, there are differences between manufacturers and even different lines from the same manufacturer.
Picked up a big screw while circumventing an accident on the autostrada near Genova. Was careful for about 50 kms in case but as all was well figured I had avoided any pick up..... So I put my foot down and about 50 kms later the tyre blew. The car did not move. I realised what had happened, lifted off as gently as possible and made it to the entry of a slip road where the tyre disintegrated. It was a Sunday night (10:45pm) near Alessandria. I called my dealer in Switzerland, who of course answered the phone himself. He asked me for my gps coordinates (which my FF GPS gave me!!) and then called me back a few minutes later to inform me that a flatbed with a rental would be arriving shortly!! 2 1/2 hours later, the flatbed showed up and my wife and I headed on home in the rental. All through this my wife was a great sport and even said how comfortable the car was!! Monday evening at 5pm, my dealer delivered the FF back to me at home, repaired. Charged me only for the cost of the tyre. That is Ferrari service for you.
