Porsche 930 1987 #1 300k #2 233 #3 180 Anyone want to buy my driver for $180k? Those numbers seem really high... Even higher than summer... Testarossa numbers down? 1987 testarossa... #3 87k It blocks me from printing the graphs... The odd thing is I can find several 930s for sale below 100k... Whereas testarossas seem to be listed for 130k to start, and go up from there... What the heck is going on with the haggerty info?!
I'll try to post graph of 1989 TR from a screenshot of my collection TR Green line -- looks like value has leveled off somewhat Sent by incredibly fast electrons
I am with you . 930 prices seem way high (don't mind cause I own one) .....but TR prices seem alittle low. Although, I think most collector car prices are lower as a whole including 930's.....its just a market correction after the silly rapid increases
How's your Lamborgini C value doing? Talk about crazy price escalation Sent by incredibly fast electrons
Hagerty still shows strong pricing, but the auction results are showing a lot of no sales at lower numbers than Hagerty. I am curious to see what happens next month in Scotsdale and at Amelia in March. Looks like the current Countach market is in hold status.
Haggerty says the average value for a condition 3 87 is 87,000$... That seems woefully low... A condition 4 parts car 930 is 130,000$? That just doesn't seem to match up with reality... I still see 930s listed on sites for 70-80k...
Lots of 930s for sale at any time, including nice low mileage examples. They made quite a few. However, a first gen 1975 is much, much more $$$.
Haggerty is following fchat in the tr/boxer section. You can't be all that surprised - I'm amazed that they still peg it at $87,000.
Hagerty is a good tool, but by no means the bible. There are often nuances between models and years that are not delinieated in Hagerty valuations. They also use auction results as benchmarks, which can sway values in both directions.
Yeah crazy numbers IMO, I'd gladly sell my 1987 930 coupe for #3 values, but wouldn't let go of my 91 TR for their values...
2016 Sports Car Market price guide: Testarossa 1985-1987.5 Median $106,800 Testarossa 1987.5-1991 Median $119,500
Interesting that the dual mirror cars fetch more than the iconic single ones. I would have thought it would be the opposite.
With only 1100 or so of the early cars produced, it's not "rocket appliance" to see that these cars will command a significant premium in the near future. You will always see the early cars just lumped in with the 7000 cars produced during the production period but we all know the "flying mirror" was the first born. I owned my car for 7 years been a member here for 6 and have enjoyed the people and learning about my car. No one has every asked me if I wanted to sell my car but in past 6 months I have been PM'd 4x by complete strangers wondering if I am interested in selling. It will be an interesting next 24-36 months.
I've had several unsolicited requests to buy my 1989 model and the buyers appear to be serious and the offers were reasonable in the $130,000-$150,000 range. However, my conundrum is what do I replace it with at that price that will provide as much joy and satisfaction of ownership??? Mine is a keeper -- 20+ years of ownership (longest I have ever held onto a single car). Sent by incredibly fast electrons
Agreed, what do you replace it with???? This was my childhood dream and nothing can scratch this itch. I picked up a 911C4S as a daily driver sports car.
Same here. Mine is staying with me. Just finished racking up another 1850mi this the 12th year of my ownership. Can't beat the smiles per mile these cars give ya.
I came across this semi affordable Testarossa. Its a steal at £350K. Thats roughly $490K And its an investment P Image Unavailable, Please Login
