    Hi All-

Are the two lines indicated in the pic below replaceable while the engine is in? We ran into a snag sourcing the longer of the two (dont recall which one that is) while doing my engine out.

If we put the engine back in, can I replace the line in question later on this summer with the engine in?

    Thank you,

Sure. A little easier with engine out but not that bad with it in.

you can replace, but may be you have to modify the big tool ( open wrench ) for loosen the nuts of the hoses at the filter housing

Why would you need to modify anything? I just use standard wrenches.

I can't figure out how some people make such simple things so hard.

my standard wrench has been to thick. I could loose a little but not turn. so I had to cut some left and right from the open part of the wrench to turn more. so may be you have a thinner tool that you can turn?
and I not do simple things the hard way - even I like to work - but the easy way

I misunderstood. Yes, some wrenches can be too thick to counterhold the fitting.
