I will be storing my car from December to March and I am concerned about flatspoting. Does it pay to buy a product like TireCradles? Here's their website www.tirecradle.com. They cost $344 plus shipping. Has anyone ever used them and do they work?

I wouldn't waste my money on that ;)

I would purchase x4 chassis stands and leave it on them while you are storing it, plus it leaves the suspension suspended not allowing it to sag, You can always just pop in and fire it up and select a gear and leave it drive for a while to allow the motor and the gearbox/transmission to run allowing the seals to remain moist from the oil/coolant and also to prevent surface oxidation of the metal too from the oil splashed around :D

Either the above or you can loan it to me for the duration :p

Yeah, like he said ↑↑ Also depends on the tires u have. Pirelli P1's are notoriously prone to flat spotting. I am surprised that no one has mentioned it here. I threw mine away and used Yokohama AVS's with no issues ever. The trick is finding a matched set of a single maker for your car. I had to compromise with a slightly smaller profile front (to keep the speedo correct). This was for a 348 with 17's. There may be more choices with 355's or aftermarket wheels.

You can also use small scraps of carpeting and they will have the same effect as these tire cradles.

FYI: On cement flooring my Pirelli P-Zeros and my Goodyear Eagles flat-spotted with only 3-4 months in the garage at a time, and my Michelin Pilot Sports didn't flat spot with almost 2 years in the garage, all under the same conditions/temp.
