Ferrari North America states that 60% of North American Ferrari owners also own a private jet. This factoid was published in Ferrari Market Letter recently. I don't believe it. Anyway, I don't own a Ferrari yet but I can say with some certainty that when I make that first Ferrari purchase, I won't be backing it up with a Lear 24 for good measure. How about you?
I have trouble believing that. I would say more like 10% or less. I have only met one Ferrari owner who owns a jet. Or maybe he was the only one who mentioned he had a jet? Hmmmm.......
That sounds a little overstated. Personally, of the many owners I know of, I can't say for any certainty that one is a private jet owner. I'd be curious what % own free and clear? Probably a lot less than you'd think.
Maybe 60% of ENZO owners. Or 60% of 250GTO owners. But 60% of everyday owners, NAH, NFW. CARBON, please dispel this rumor, post haste. DM
With 8 people so far we should have at least a couple of jet owners here. How about it, any you guys got one?
Maybe there was a problem in the translation. Just look in your owners' manual, you will see what I mean !
I dunno, but figure about $4500-$5000 annually for a 4pl retractable, $7500 if it's got an extra engine. That was about 10 years ago when I cared. I'd be willing to bet about $20k just for the inspection if nothin's broke.
Maybe its the other way around, 60% of jet owners own a Ferrari ~ I dont sell cars, I sell engines. The cars I throw in for free since something has to hold the engine - Enzo Ferrari
I think the decimal point is in the wrong place. NO WAY Uro, figure a couple hundred grand if you're not flying. Add in around $200k for pilots and $1500/ flight hour for fuel..... very very rough numbers
Can't be true. If anything they could mean 60% of NEW car owners own jets but that even seems high. Consider the thousands of 308/328/355 etc owners out there who I find hard to believe are in the jet owning class.
thats what I would have thought 200k basic cost with ~10 bucks per mile extra. BTW,he mentioned "retractable" so I think he thought I meant aircraft, not jet-aircraft.
