Intercity has always been on time with my cars...and actually early. They have been extremely professional and delivered cars in a very caring fashion.

Talk about F1...I was worried about them being able to drive my CGT with its unique clutch. Turns out the driver informed me that Intercity was the designated Porsche delivery transporter for CGT's when they were first delivered (first one went to Seinfeld).
That made me feel a whole lot better.
If you are that concerned, they offer a non-op push fee of $100.

Oh yes, always tip $50 or $100

I've used Passport and Horseless Carriage, both were on time, great service, and got tips. Funny story, one of the driver's told me that when he started hauling collector cars, he figured they would all be CLEAN, excellent cars. WRONG! He said he had hauled a lot of barn finds, dirty, rundown cars, and it was anything but a clean job to do, at times. Still ,said he enjoyed it, good pay, and a very interesting job, with lots of neat cars. That the kind of positive attitude you want to hear, weather they are hauling your car, or working on it! And yes, they do quite a bit of loading and unloading of the cars , to balance the weight on the axles of the trailer, to be legal, at the scales.

The idiot who hauled mine left the E-brake on when he removed it, causing the brakes to smell, and then for good measure he somehow scraped the roof in a few places, necessitating body work.

Not all truckers know WTF they are doing loading and unloading exotics, that's for sure.

Funny thing, you don't always get what you pay for.

I always tip around 50 dollars per bike and 100 dollars per car, rarely an exception.

Didn't even know I was dealing with a brokerage until after the extravaganza and I was looking to claim damages. They were the company recommended by the dealer who had apparently used them for years. Honestly I didn't even know brokerages existed. In the end it was the brokerage company that cut me a check for damages and will be pursuing the trucking company for compensation, so it worked out.
