We are looking for a lightly used one. Love the looks and drive feel. My wife drives 30k miles plus a year and are now concerned with gas milage (no AMGs for us) and of course reliability. We generally keep a car till it gets to 140k miles.
are you sure this is the car you want? I only ask as, to go 140K with minimal problems, according to many reports (consumer reports etc) you would be better served by a lexus LS, BMW 7er, or Audi A8.
Are you happy with your CLS ? NOOOOO!!!! my wife's 2006 cls55 was a real piece of crap. The idiot lights would look like a freakin christmas tree and the dealer was next to worthless. They changed part after part trying to get the lights to stay off. That car went through every control unit and what ever SAMs are constantly. I would suggest trying a 70s Jaguar if you're looking for something a little more reliable.
BMW would be my choice although i think the CLS looks lovely, it may not be worth the bother though especially with it being the wives car, could put her off cars for good!!
I've heard alot of good things about the CLS, non AMG ones should be fine as well, if youre serious about one head over to mbworld and there is tons of information..
They look great, but the back seats are next to useless. As someone else here said, get a Certified Preowned Audi A8 because it has a warranty, and it's AWD. The back seat has soo much leg room.
If reliability is important, get the Lexus. The Audi and, most certainly, Mercedes will not come close. I am not a big Lexus guy, but they make the best cars in the world in terms of reliability and fit/finish.
Thanks for all the replies. Bummer about the reliability. Like meeting a Supermodel you've seen only to find out she has incredible body odor.
I have the cls63 amg (wifes actually)and would definitely recommend it or the regular cls, I've had BMW's and numerous other luxury cars and this might be the most impressive car i've ever driven! I have not had any issues, you get the performance and luxury in one, I think the regular cls has 382 HP which is certainly adequate.
