Area calendars - are they possible?

While this should probably be directed to Robb, I am wondering if there is a way that each area of the country could have their own calendar format where people could input legitimate Fcar events. This could be a one source location where we could easily look for upcoming events. From there it could have links to go to specific threads discussing the event. I have no idea as to the logistics of this. If it is possible, I'm confident that a lot of these events would be better attended. I hate missing some of these due to the fact that I just didn't know about them. We'd just need to have some ground rules as to what is considered a legitimate event. While we do have a calendar thread, a lot of good info gets lost with old news.
