Ariel Atom- track impression- crazy vehicle

Why did I call it a vehicle, well yes it has four wheels but has more in common with a bike than a car....

Was offered a passenger ride in one of these around the track, this model being the top of the range 300 bhp model...well 300 bhp in something where one can touch the road and where the whole car is just pipes feels pretty wild...the "seat" is merely a piece of moulded plastic.

No windscreen mean a helmet is needed...the acceleration is amazing but the cornering is where it simply astonishing....one cannot beleive something can corner like this, feels like its on rails, no lean, no sliding. One gets bounced around over any bumps, on the straights the wind threatens to rip ones head off(addmitedly we were doing over 200 km/h at this point) but my word its an adrenaline pumping experience...blasting past an Audi RS4 down the straight and out braking a GT3 RS into a corner are two experiences that will be with me for some time..

5 laps in the passenger seat leave one feeling in awe at what this ugly little wasp like thing can do, for the track I cant think of anything more extreme that isnt a race car....even then not much could touch this thing....
