Can anyone tell me if the lid on the armrest storage compartment in the California 2011 is meant to stay up if you open it? Mine doesn't, and it's really annoying. Before I pay to have it looked at I wanted to check if this was broken or in fact normal.

OK, any excuse to sit in the Cali is a good one, so I just ran out, and mine will only stay open if it's close to perpendicular. See. iPhone pic. Rough guess based on the level that comes with the iPhone compass app is much more than 20 degrees from the vertical & it'll close.

Thank you, very much, Graham. My wife gets all the credit - she saw this Cali online, fell in love with it - and the rest is history. Even with the unusual avorio exterior, the ciocolatto interior gets as many, if not more, comments. The diamond stitching is the cherry on the ice cream sundae in my opinion!

So why is there a cup holder in there if the arm rest will come crashing down on very hot coffee!
I never used mine but thanked Ferrari for a second cup holder, but maybe I shouldn't have.

Cup holder? This little bump? With or without a lid to fall on it, I wouldn't put any cup or bottle in there. Or, is there an optional cup holder for that location?

Right - it is way too shallow to be a cup holder. Looks more like a hockey puck storage.

Haha. I'll think about making hockey pucks an exception to my "no crap in my Cali" rule! ;) Only bottled water is allowed in the Cali, and my wife uses the one to the right of the radio...T

That's why you log on to F-chat, to learn what the manual does not teach. Heck, I didn't know about the side marker lights until this week.
