I think I will make it. Took out the invite again and it is 12 to 4, I think I can swing that. Maybe I will bring Marion. Martin
Allright, I guess you guys twisted my arm, I'll go after I see the race.Martin, hold a spot for me. Don't forget it's Mama squids B'Day saturday, Frank will let us know details.
Hey guys, I'm driving down from Atlanta with my 355 in tow. The show is a good excuse to see my girlfriend who lives in Sunrise. Since I might be moving to the area, it's a good time to connect with the Ferraristi and the Fiatisti. (have a couple of Lancias). Martin, it will be good to hook up with you again, that tranny was a good deal, even replacing a synchro. Jeff Davison
Hey Sindo. I will not make it to the F1. I rather stay home and watch it there since I am takng off for the concourse. Marion said to please bring the earpins. We will be at the restaurant on Sat eve with you guys and Mama Squid.
Jeff, good to see you again. The 355 in tow, I like that! I will come with the Challenge car. Not in tow but on the street, will have some more bugs on it
I won't be towing to the show, just from Atlanta to my G.F.'s house two days before. Driving to the show in the F. I used to distain trailer queens, but I can justify towing. Also more room for luggage, cleaning supplies and my girl friends birthday present. It's her birthday and after an 11 hour drive I'd be pretty beat up. I've no problems with the car, just like that AC, Nav system and music for the long highway straight line hauls. Jeff
I would not want to drive 11h in a Ferrari. I always tell my clients that want to "drive them home", they will save in transport but spend the same money the next weeks in Chiropractor bills. I totally understand that Jeff.
Cool....looks like 4 F-Cars......... I'm thinking about being there around 11:30 because cars have to be in place by 12.... anyone else?
i will be there with "the other dino"...but not til 1. scottie said he's coming. jeff, will be nice to see you again if you make it. i met you at ffo in west virginia a few years back. still got the turbo scorpion?
will hoepfully not forget the chairs. Also need my display to say for sale. Hey I have to write off the $30.
Nice turn out. Sindo took his first trophy home. 3rd place in Ferrari. Frank....no trophy for you but that is what visitor judging does to you. I think certain cars should not be judged. Then that is me. A 2004 360 Spider as nice and as pretty as her owner was is not a concourse entry in my book. I think the 99 355B was borderline but for the 9000 miles it was very very well kept. The 250 was a no brainer and also best of show. Frank's 355 should have gotten a trophy. All in all it was a nice show and nice turnout. Was nice to see Jonathan bringing his two race cars. Finally met Scott, saw Perry and his lovely wife (sorry we did not get to talk more). Nice to see Jeff (and we will see him more often with another Maria...., which will be 3 Marias with the Squids soon ) Of course Steve showed one hour later than he said he would and basically missed being judged. Here goes the 1st place by him. Evan to you and the rest of the "other Italian Owners" out there: At no time did we mean the remarks about St. Armands being negative or discriminating against non-Ferrari owners. They were merely directed at the poor picture a Ferrari show portrays that needs Ford as a sponsor and invites other brands last minute to revamp their budget. I hope we made that clear in our talk today. Stay posted here on F-Chat for Squid events. You and all owners, non owners, other owners are always welcome to join for drives and dinners and all of the fun activities we do.
Sounds like it was a fun time. I almost considered going but decided to come back to Tampa Saturday afternoon instead. Maybe next time. Stay tuned to the soon to be launched Squid website for details on upcoming events. Yes, we're taking the plunge! If you want to be on our distribution list, contact: [email protected] BHW
It was a real pleasure to meet some of the Squids. Cindy and I look forward in joining you in some of your south Florida events. Keep us posted on what is going on. Sindo I truly love your 308. One day I will get one! Evan
Thanks Evan, I hope you get one soon, but I have to say honestly your car is very nice. But being a squid I need to see her without a bra next time. HA HA. Well whatever we plan next we have to get the Alfa's and Fiat's there too. Great to finally meet you.
Sindo: I think that lovely photographer would ahve kindly removed her entire ensamble for you. Of course, I would have been hiding my eyes. Scottie
No Trophy - That's it...I've had enough....No more....I'm selling this POS....not... (lol).. Let me see...I did not wash my car, but Martin did! I must be living in some kind of "reverse universe" where eveything is backwards. It was a good oppurtunity to get together locally and have a casual display of cars. Congrats to Sindo - way cool. And as far as the 360 (Mara) she deserves a trophy just on her attitude and enthusiasm. Scott - Nice to meet you...nice Maser. Jeff - Hope you make the move and let's go fishing! I agree her attitide and driving desire makes her worthy of any throphy. I am just ranting on Concourse. Hey Scottie, have Rob change your user profile, the old one, so you keep your post count. I think you can even do that yourself in the user options.
Scott your too funny, we did all have a good time though. We HAVE to do a monthly meet/dinner. Oh I contacted Jimmy in N.J. about my mirrors, he'll call me back. Thanks for the lead.
Martin: I couldn't remember my password. It was easier to just create a new profile - besides, i wanted to set one up in the business name. Besides, is the post count really that important. They way I stick my nose into everything, I'll be right back up there shortly. Scottie
Frank, The photographer was wearing, well sort of wearing - this black 1/2 shirt. Or maybe it was a complete shirt and is just tore when she stretched it over her bulk. In any case, now you get the joke. For everyone, I posted the pictures that I took on Ofoto. You will need to sign in with them to look - but it is free. here is the link: <<http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=tv8sqh1.4t7fgpgx&x=0&y=cik5ik>> I didn't get too many people shots - just a few action shots as people were pulling out, but there are a few good shots of the cars. Had a great time! Scottie
