imho I think Maurizio is the best thing that has happened to the Scuderia in a long while... On the topic of possibly supplying engines to Red Bull: "Red Bull have big names, with Adrian Newey as chief designer, and it is easy to think if you give them the engine they will build a scary chassis, which means they will be really competitive. My team, my engineers and aerodynamicists know their jobs. For that reason I don't have a problem and competition is nice when you have a stronger competitor. This doesn't mean tomorrow morning we will give our engines to Red Bull but I don't see any problem to give our engine to any other team or be scared of the competition before they start. This is not the right spirit of competition, of what Ferrari represents. We fight with everybody." Eat that Toto Wolff and Lewis Hamilton. That's how to truly measure oneself.
Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. No better way to hold them off than to be right under their bonnet.
Yap.....and if by chance Red Bull is beating us, it's easy to "sabotage" their engines.. Maurizio is one smart cookie!!!, lololo
I knew Arrivabene was the man for the job. He didn't get to where he was within PM by being stupid, lazy or without character. Dude's got charisma, brains and balls.
I wasn't as sure, but recall saying he deserves a chance at it - He already knew his way around the F1 "halls of power" as PM's guy. +1 Sure looks that way! Hopefully bodes well for the team. Cheers, Ian PS - Don't want to stir a hornets nest, but wasn't he sweater boys hire?
