How come every time I get close to a deal with a car, all the drama starts. Accidents not on carfax, poor accident repairs, missing or no service records, no manuals, no keys, no fobs. ARRRGGHHH! The only good cars I can find are not the color or transmission I want.

Anyone know of any good, clean 6 speed manual spiders in Pozzi, Nero, Titano, NART or TDF? Budget is $100k

The right car will come along for you. :):)

It took me over 12 months to find the 'right' car for me. Have been a happy boy ever since. ;);)

Email sent. I think the biggest issue you'll have is getting the 6-speed....

While I don't want to talk you out of anything you should try the f1 and really consider it....there is a reason while 90% of the cars are f1 trans....

Felt the same way - wrong color, wrong interior, wrong transmission, wrong price etc. etc. Then one day there it was on EBay - everything right, close enough to schedule a visit before bidding and suddenly a month ago it was mine. If there was an upside it was learning a lot more about the car and the market during the process. I used this site, Ebay, Autotrader and selected dealers that I knew dealt in the model. Good luck.

If you can get over the 6spd, my last car at FOW is a good buy right now. They want to, can't believe it, remove $3k in software from Evolution Motorsport from the ECU's and return the exhaust to stock.....aaack!! The car dyno'ed at like 360hp to the wheels, some 440hp. Just needs a clutch, which they'll be doing obviously. Also would recommend the challenge TCU or Formula Dynamics product. But it's an ultra clean, no stories (except the fabspeed melodrama) example with the full fabspeed setup. It's a great car, and with a new clutch, it's going to be ready to treat somebody well for a long time to come.

Seriously consider an F1 car. You can do the Challenge TCU upgrade and you will be amazed. I have 2 manual sports car and guess which car I always want the drive, the F-car. Look at Dupont Registry .com and autotrader.com if you really have to have a manual car. Good Luck.

On the positive side, be glad you uncovered mis-representations, missing items, etc. BEFORE you bought the car :)

Take your time, be thorough, and get the care you really want. You budget is right and you should be able to get a clean car.

    Good Luck.

I probably should drive and F1 and see what its like. The car is for weekend trips out east and date nights. I have a Porsche 996 race car so it will never see the track. I am 100% for F1 for racing, just not sure for the street.

Had the perfect car out in Az, but things got fishy. I am still interested, but we are way apart on price. Its a midline used car dealer out in Scottsdale, they bought the car at Manheim is SoCal for $80k in November and feel that they can flip it without putting a penny in for $105. I was at $90k and they down to $95 before I found out about no service records, no books, no cover, no tools, nonaccessories but 1 key and 1 fob. I'd do $85k for it as-is, but they have their head up their @$$ and are stuck at $95k.

There is a perfect yellow manual at exotic classics by me and the price is good, but I could never pull off a yellow car.

    Red's just not me.

I would do titanium but not silver.

Now were talking, but F1 and too old. I prefer a 2004 or 2005, but would do a 2003, but nothing older.

I know that it is easier said than done....but be patient. Keep looking and the car you want will become available and when it does you will be so happy that you passed up all of those other tainted cars. It may take some time but I feel that it is worth it to wait for the right car and the car with the options that you want.

I know that color is personal, but heck, it is a Ferrari F360 so there is no where to hide. The more out there the color the better for me......my 20 basis points worth at least.

Good luck I am sure you will find the car that makes you happy......Steve

All good things come to those who wait and are patient. I looked for 2.5 years before I found the right car, and it was one week after I thought I found the "right car" but the dealer screwed me and I was so pissed. A week later I found a much nicer 360, the nicest I had seen before then and nicest I have seen since then.

    That's a nice find!

To the OP: Look on the bright side. You know what you want, and what you want to pay, so it's just a matter of the right car coming along and you being opportunistic, knowing you've already done your homework.

There is always a car that 'shows up' and then you know its the "one". Its important to stay on track - just when you think there iis nothing out there for you car wise - boom, there it is in front of you and the feeling is great. Good luck!!

I agree with the others. I was looking everywhere for a long time then I found one 20 miles from home.

LOL, thanks Mark. I am familiar with that one. Its close, the mileage is getting a bit high for me and the price does not seem to match for the year and mileage.

    Ok, thread closed.

First, OP is not a subscribed member and a "wanted" request belongs in Ferrariads.

Second, this is becoming one big "for sale/classified" thread another no-no.

I let it roll for a little while, but really the OP needs to do his own research and enjoy the hunt. Good luck, thread closed.
