Is anyone on here going to be in Watkins Glen for this?

I am staying on Keuka Lake and will attend either Saturday or Sunday

I went two years ago, took me 5 hours of driving to get there, and 20 ferraris showed up.... Not doing it again, past years have been great though, so I say if you have the time, make the trip

Does anyone perhaps know of some cars that are going to be there? I can only make the downtown Corning show of the cars Friday evening. I am hoping there will be a good selection of enzo-era 'works of art'.

I found a picture album of the 2007 show in Corning and my what a selection! Pontoon-fender TR, 250GTO, FXX, 333SP, etc.

I hope that some cars of a similar caliber with show up this year!

They've been trying to turn that into a major Ferrari event for years. It was for a long time just the Ferrari club weekend track event at Watkins Glen. Then a couple of years ago, Leon Bordage, who lives in Corning, started doing a Friday night car show called Art of Ferrari. It was sort of a warm-up to the FCA National event at Corning/Watkins Glen a coupld of years ago. He's tried to keep it going, but most of the people who were going up there were going for the track event, not "Art of Ferrari." I took my 308 up there for the National event, but other years I always took my Corvette, which is my regular track car.

I'm not sure how much of the turn-out they are going to get this year for the Art of Ferrari event, since the major national event is being held at NJ Motorsport Park in South Jersey at the end of September. I always enjoyed the track event Labor Day weekend at the Glen, and the dinner on Saturday night at the air museum in Elmira is always spectacular. If you are looking for something to do or some place to go, it's fun and lots to do up in that area, if you are not doing the track event. But if you are only going for the car show, you might be disappointed. Check out the national event at NJMP. That's where the really nice cars will be, I expect.
