    There I was all happy doing my short approaches with my instructor in a little 'ol 172 and I see this.....

    Friggin awesome...if I wasn't impressed enough with the flying...the fact the kid looks like he's about 18 is just rubbing it in....

    Stuff like this just blows my mind with how composed our boys are...Just brilliant..

    Nice video but you can scale it back in your 172. 1000ft down an instrument runway are two parallel white aircraft carriers. With a decent headwind you can actually touchdown and stop within the white paint.

    Overhead pattern. Fun to fly, although I imagine a small, moving runway would add to the excitement.

    Not many birds that far out, so you can get away without having your visor down, I guess. Or it was just for the video.

    The vapor popping off the wings.

    When he was looking straight up it took a second to realize he was in a 90 degree bank and he's looking at his runway.

    I saw that too... hes looking above and behind him to see the runway while hes turning short final....;)
