Plan for 45 minutes of your life to watch....hard to walk away. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2VygftZSCs Gets more spectacular about half-way in......
Great video, thanks for posting! Some of the clips came from STS-124 as they said and I was fortunate enough to see that up close (10 miles or so) straight shot over the water. Here's my pic to give you an idea of the skies that day: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:STS124LaunchSpoilIslandsView.JPG My favorite launch was definitely STS-131. Took off right before dawn and the sun was shining on the shuttle a few minutes into flight. Ice crystal formation made it look incredible. http://www.sott.net/articles/show/206195-Cosmic-Climate-Change-Space-Shuttle-Discovery-STS-131-leaves-spectacular-dragon-trails-in-the-sky ^^I was looking at it from behind so I saw how wide the trail was...had no idea it looked that cool from the side.
