Do you provide advice relating to Asking Price Index and future predictions? The Ferrari 612 keeps going down, would you have a prediction for the next six, three or two months and could you please provide that to me? Reason I am concerned is a replacement for the 612 was just introduced. Thank you.
6 months: down 3 months: down 2 months: down Sorry, but 2+2s depreciate until they are around 15 years old. So look for the 2005 612s to keep going down until around 2020.
How does this 2005 612 listing on Hemmings match with market? http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/dealer/ferrari/612_scaglietti/1168793.html I still think of 612s demanding closer to the $200k mark, and at just over 10,000 miles I was surprised at the list (although I prefer a lighter interior if I had my say).

I would say the asking price range on a 2005 612 is $120,000 to $140,000. Personally, Im hoping in the next 18 months theyll hit sub $90K then Ill be picking one up
i apologize in advance if this has been beaten to death, but @ those prices it's not unreasonable to consider a 612 if one were looking at a 997 TT as a daily driver...is it?
Sounds perfectly logical to me. With prices in the $115-140 for 05s and 06s, a 612 is a good alternative to a TT. They have been very reliable, too. Plus nobody will mistake it for just another Porsche. Taz Terry Phillips
V12 exhaust note vs TT vacuum cleaner note. Quarter mile in low 12s @ 115+ mph from a 540 hp engine and F1 shifter. Cornering that will not bite you. You can have a great time, plus carry three attractive females. In the right place the ability to cruise for hours at 120+ mph (not here). Much, much more attractive interior. You will not see 20 of them every day you drive. The general public cannot tell the difference between a TT and a 30 year old SC. Taz Terry Phillips
Was originally looking at 430 (fun ride!) but leaned toward TT (not nearly as fun) because was more unassuming (gets lost in crowd). Could this be the answer? My only reservation with the 430 is the flash...you know, people thinking you're the thong underwear kinda guy.
Well, last month I sold my 612 which was a 2006 with less than 5k miles for $140,000. Had a lot of interest in it over the 8 weeks that it was up for sale. Was $290k+ new. Had one previous owner (for the first 2.5 years). First owner took the biggest hit obviously but anyone becoming a second or third owner of a 612, I don't think the depreciation is all that bad at all.
I am not sure what my 06 hgtc is worth ... 12k miles list 330 125 -140? Anyway as the 2nd owner - it has been the BEST deal of my car life I added some OTO look and really like the car. Terry ... you probably saved me 10k and received a t-shirt ... Ur the man! I wouldn't mind a 599 HGTE or 16M if someone wanted the 612.
So if the 612 gets as much attention as a 430, then I should just get the one I want? Wait a second, that can't be right. They have to convey a different image. I can picture myself driving a 612 to work and somehow feel comfortable being seen getting out of it...but a 430 I would want to be wearing a bella clava or Mexican wrestling mask
The V8s will get more attention, especially from young males. Women do not seem to care much, with a few exceptions. The 612 is definitely more subtle, especially in a muted color, but will never be a Mustang or Corvette. If you want a perfect one, buy Doug's. Taz Terry Phillips
Dr Rossa, The flashy ones are the V8 mid engine models, like a 430 or a 458, esp in red or yellow. If you want a less flashy car, get a 612 or consider a Maserati. And if you really want to keep it subtle, chose a subtle color. Both cars are a lot more special than a Porsche TT.
Wife's opinion - screw the Porsche! Reminded me that was bored of every one I had after 6 months. Suggested I should go for the 430 and that I'm clearly putting too much thought in what should be passion and indulgence..."don't look for logic, you shouldn't find it" Well...there you have it...I think she just told me to get BOTH
Your wife is correct. A Ferrari can never be justified on logic. In fact it is pretty hard to beyond a Toyota Camry if you stick to 100% logic
If it is your first Ferrari, go for a mid-engine that makes great noises and goes around corners like a kart. Then get one a bit more subdued for your wife. She sounds like someone I would like. My first was a Dino 246 GT 36 years ago. Still my wife's favorite of the four Ferraris we have owned. Taz Terry phillips
I absolutely love my 2005 612 its ingid silver. I can put it in the drs lot and it does not get too much attention. The sound is awesome and the interior is to die for.The ride is super comfortable. I could not be happier, but ... I really want a 430 convertable, and dont want to give up my superleggerra for it. When ever i get ride of a car. Its like breaking up with a girl that i will miss forever and did not have enough of
