There is really nothing to do here but I have a few modest suggestions:

Aspen has about 20 world class restaurants. If you like fancy, Montanya at the Little Nell is our favorite. World class wine list. Johnathan, Master Sommelier (not many in the US). French Provential = Rustique. Bar menu = Elevation. Cache Cache and Pinons are very popular. Ribs = Hickory House. Sushi (we have 3) our favorite is Takah Sushi. Many people like Matsuhisu (very expensive).

Belly Up for live entertainment. Sky Bar to pick up chicks (do not take your GF there). Lots of bars in town. Try em all. There are several.

Lunch. Red Onion has best burger. Cantina has good Mexican food. Ajax Tavern at the base of Aspen Mountain and you can sit outside...at all these places.

Ride on the gondola. 11,200+ feet at the summit. You will have a cherished view of the world famous Elk Mountain Range and the multi-million dollar houses on Red Mountain (some can be had for a mere $35 million).

Of course you need to take a trip to Maroon Bells. But you'll have to take the bus unless you go up before 8am or after 5pm. Or you can rent bikes and peddle up. Walk to the waterfall at the far end of Maroon Lake. Gushing now. You will need good hiking shoes (forego the flip flops, good running shoes will do). It is an easy walk. About a mile. Each way.

There are several hikes. Our favorite is up Hunter Creek which just happens to be right behind where we live. But we have lots or trails, 35 parks and miles of bike paths. The Information Booth across from Paradise Bakery can give you maps and all the info. Galena and Cooper Streets.

Take a drive to Ashcroft. Beautiful. Great lunch at the Pine Creek Cookhouse...you will need reservations!!! for lunch or dinner. The squab salad is excellent.

Another nice drive is go to Basalt and go to Reudi Reservoir following the Frying Pan River. Best Gold Medal Fly Fishing in Colorado and a great sports car road. Watch out for bikes!

If you like classical music, we have a world class music festival which runs until late August. You can get tickets at the Wheeler Opera House downtown. And for non-classical music as well. Believe it or not, many people actually do this! Shocking, I know.

There is so much to do never enough time. Free physics lectures at the Aspen Institute for Physics and the Aspen Ideas Festival to name a few. Get on the internet and the Chamber will list all the goings on.

There is too much to do. Never enough time. That's why I moved here.

(Crusted Butt is a nice town with some nice scenery. A couple of places to eat.)

Aspen is the most European town in the US. No place like it. Expensive...yes. But worth it. You get what you pay for IMVHO.

Aspen is always jambed for the 4th of July. Private jets are already 4 deep and there will be overflow private jet parking in Grand Junction and Eagle (aka Vail).

Parking is always the problem in Aspen. Hopefully, you can just park your car in the public parking garage behind the library (we have an excellent library )

PM me if you have any questions or run out of things to do. You are going to Crusted Butt bcus????

(Don't get me wrong, Crested Butte is a quaint little mountain town that everybody should see once. I've been there twice. Questioning that decision. LOL)
