ASR intermittent troubles

    I have a 2001 550. Here's the scenario. I drive the car a short distance and turn it off. When I try to restart the car 10 minutes later, the Slowdown/Drive Careful/ASR flashes up on the display and the car won't start. When I leave the car for 1 hour, it starts up immediately. Not sure if it's because it cooled down or ??

    It's done it a couple of times now. Is it possible it's a battery problem? Or???

    Have a 575. Mine does this once in a while but runs. I turn it off,let it sit a couple of minutes,then do the restart and every thing is fine . Tire pressure also shows 4 flats upon start up on occasion. Turn off,let it sit a few minutes,then restart. GTS Bruce
