I’m going to start assembling all A-arms, hubs, ball joints, suspension...the full chevang. Any specific order that you recommend that makes the assembling easier? Thanks

Btw....are the shims facing up or down? ....I’m talking about the ones on the bottom brackets. On the diagrams they show with the opening facing down, but just wanted to check (part 23) Image Unavailable, Please Login

At least for my GTS, the opening should face up. The shims are used to adjust wheel alignment. Shims are removed or added to while adjusting the alignment of the wheels. The slots should face up because the shims are accessed and adjusted from under the car.

For what its worth, there is enough room to rotate the shims around should they be installed in a different direction.

I install them with the slot facing down, so that they don't fall out while I'm placing them.

Once tightened though, doesn't matter which way they face. So whichever you prefer.
