    Can someone with a California help me to see if the plate mounted in front of their engine say Assembly number or Chassis number?.. My say Chassis number on that plate, and it is the same as the 6 digit of the vin, I am trying to find out what my assembly number is

    Look in your owners handbook there are pictures showing where the assembly number plate should be located (may differ by market) - I think it is also on some of the other plates and usually written in the warranty/service book

    You don't say what type of California you have but the assembly number is not the plaque immediately visible when you open the engine bay. As you have noticed, that is the chassis number. The assembly number should be on a small plaque further into the engine bay. Lean over into the front of the engine and look down.

    It isn't written in the warranty/service book. You can ask your local Ferrari Main Dealer to look it up in the system for you if you can't find it.
