    Dear All,

I hope this message finds you well and that the start of the year has been enjoyable for everyone.

I recently observed a red brake fluid warning light (the one with an exclamation mark) on my F430 Spider. Concerned, I checked beneath the car and noticed something dangling, as shown in the attached picture. This seems unusual, and I suspect it may not be normal.

The car continues to run beautifully and has never experienced any issues, but this development has left me quite concerned.

I would greatly appreciate any advice or insights regarding this matter.

    Hi,

Thank you for the prompt response a bit of reassurance, but why does the pipe look like it’s been chewed and brake light only comes on when the car is not in drive, when driving it goes away…

The pipe does seem low than normal and when going over speed bump etc it got worn ...it probably was misaligned during a prior service

The light is telling you either the brake fluid is low or the pads are worn

the tube looks like the HVAC evap core drain tube.. It's just a waste line. The brake light can be on for many reasons the brake reservoir fluid level for starters, worn brake pads with sensor trigger, bad sensor, bad wheel speed sensor, any number of brake codes, parking brake problems......Have a pro look at it. Brakes aren't something to mess around with unless you know how they work.

Disconnect the connector on the level sensor on the reservoir and see if the light goes away. If not, it's a brake pad issue.

Unless you also have an ABS warning light, it won't be a wheel speed sensor. Not sure how a park brake issue would cause this... unless it's wearing down the pads.
