    I've become interested in an Aston Martin DB-11 Volante (convertible) with the V8 engine after having driven one for a few days in Italy. However, I don't know about their reliability and service issues as I'd be looking for a pre-owned car. How does the DB-11 compare to a Ferrari, for example, a 599? What are the key issues to look for when considering a used Aston? Of course there are the usual factors - mileage, service history, accidents, etc., but what are the specifics to consider with an Aston? Thank for your suggestions.

    My Aston Martin Certified mechanic says those engines are bulletproof.

    Thanks. What about the rest of the car? How are the Mercedes electronics for example and the reliability of other components?

    I have two local DB11 owners who have not had any issues and bought their cars new.
    One is just coming off of warranty.
