Looks like it's a dealer bidding on it too. The car says it's in Indonesia...we've seen bogus F50 auctions there before.

The pictures are "borrowed" directly from Symbolicmotors.com site (where the car is actually for sale). Symbolicmotors is currently high bidder for the auction, so they seem to be all over this guy already.

Why do you think it must be a scam? The British had a presence in India and Indonesia before the beginning of the last century and there's still a lot of Brits around that part of the world. Seems to me a perfect place to go motoring in your Aston.

Wealth isn't just limited to Europe and the U.S. you know. Other people around the world do have money to buy things too.

    Well, I certainly stand corrected.

It's odd that Symbolic would have placed a bid. I'd think they'd just have the auction pulled.

Indonesia has very skewed wealth - the people who could afford this car there are likely extremely rich, and would probably use a broker or dealer to sell, not eBay. Someone with more than ZERO eBay points!

    Besides, see post #3!

what senna21 says is true.on top of being post-colonial; rolls royce, aston, lagonda, daimler, maybach, etc used to award either colonial royalty or allies with various special models.that's why,for example;there are various
ex-prince of iran lamborghinis or ex sultan rolls royces in india,malaysia,indonesia...

Big difference between 1900's and 1950's . Would any of you who suggested it may not be a scam actually bid?
