A car trading buddy of mine is flipping a DB6. Its a mostly original car, just taken out of long term storage. Brakes and tires are new, it has been tuned up and supposedly runs/drives fine.

Paint is older but shiny, not concours. The interior is original. Leather is good with patina you would expect. Carpets decent. Headliner needs replacing.

Wire wheels... 5 speed, its triple carbs but not a vantage. Red with red leather. Overall, a decent "driver" that will no doubt have cosmetic and some mechanical needs over the next several years.

What on earth is such a car worth?

    I like DB's.... a 5 would be better but a 5 speed 6 is neat as well. Is this a $65K car????

The DB6 was made from 1966 through 1971 and is valued between $38,500 and $55,000 for the 66-67 models and between $17,325 and $24,750 for the 68-71 models depending on condition per the CPI Collectible Vehicle Value Guide.

I think that real world prices may be higher. Auto Sport Designs seems to sell and refurbish more AM's, especially old ones, than anybody else i am aware of in the US. Take a look at their site for comps. http://www.autosportdesigns.com

    LOL!

Lets just say that I will buy every single '68 - '71 DB6 in complete and running/driving condition the author of this guide can bring me for under $24K. Thats absurd and clearly totally out of touch with the market.

What does that same guide say a Boxer or Daytona is worth just out of curiosity?

On the DB6.... I decided to pass.

Per the Nov-Dec 2005 CPI, the Daytona Coupe is valued from $105,000 to $202,500; the 365GT4/BB from $46,550 to $99,750; the BB512 from $47,950 to $102,750; and the BB512i from $50,400 to $108,000. Those prices do seem in line from what you see at various auctions around the country as reported in the Sports Car Market magazine.
