Marek is a really nice man. Spent time with him at various events.
He did a great job at creating the diversity across the models people were asking for... nobody will confuse a DB with a Vantage now. And I think he did a great job with the DBX.
But the designs have gotten too "fussy" and "exaggerated" in their base trim in my opinion. Ferrari Roma is where Aston should have been with the DB line - beautiful, smooth, curvy and sensual from a design ethos. Vantage can be more aggressive but the new front end went too far. Everything seems "boy-racer" now where the over-the-top design should have been reserved for the special editions. They lost their core market and elegance.

EV is another story, Their initial partner was a company owned by founder of Faraday Future that had huge financial issues and bailed. They have had to pivot multiple times in the development of EV Rapide. Ultimately they need a true powertrain partner in EV - should be reaching out to Rivian, Williams and others but it will take some time for them to get a viable plan in the EV market. It will fit the cars well once they figure out a execution path - EV DB, EV Rapide, EV DBX... while Vantage, DBS etc can stay fire-breathing ICEs.

The Valkyrie and spin-offs are eating up a ton of resources and it will be curious how those cars fit into the "new" plan at Aston Martin.

So is Aston just arriving fashionably late to everything now? Last to make a luxury SUV to go along with their luxury GT/sedans and now last to make a 2 seater without a windshield. Not sure what their direction as a company is at this point.

    I do... it's straight down.

And that windsheildless monstrosity just set a new low bar in the ugly car wars...

Agreed, hopefully Stroll sorts things out. However, I see our resident pulpiteer is quick to give lessons on your observation.

Being the perma-critic is not cool, huh? Now you know how many of our members feel. (Or do I need to list out the 20+ folks that have had you on ignore at some point?)

But as long as you keep pontificating the faults of everything, I'm happy to play your game, and reflect the negativity you spew right back. Unlike others that are mentally and emotionally well balanced, I'm sick too, just like you.

haha, unfortunately, I sadly admit, I am ill and not well. I do always take the bait...

Other Moderators would have just banned the troll long ago, but alas, I'm a glutton for punishment, and I think do actually enjoy the mud like a fat pig in his own excrement.

There is much truth to your statement. There was a time (middle school) that I thought aggravating folks was fun. Of course, in adulthood, I know it's a fool's errand, causing more self-harm then entertainment, with one exception; trolling a troll.

Now, when the opportunity presents itself, I can't resist.

But you're not trolling a troll because I'm not trolling, and you're simply giving me a quote notification in the corner. If you or anyone else is aggravated by my posts, oh well, talk to a therapist. Can't imagine how people get so worked up on a car message board. A car message board. A car. A message board.

You're leaving out a crucial piece of context. That said, you're still right though, should we just ban @noone1 for trolling?
