    Hi all

I'm looking closely at an Aston Martin Oscar India

only 2 made in the color scheme
    11k original miles
    Manual gearbox
    Original and all matching
    Stunning condition
    MY 1980

I’ve been watching them for a few years and I’m close to pulling the trigger but wanted to get some advice from the experts.

*im familiar with the seller as I’ve purchase from him before.

    thanks
    Chas

For the manual version, be sure to look for popping out of gear during your test drives. For example, going up a long hill in second under load, or using the engine for braking while in gear. I experienced popping out of gear in one. For me, valuation would depend substantially on maintenance issues I would want to resolve for intended usage.

I know that car very well, it was originally burnt out and rebuilt using parts from another burnt out car. It came to the USA without papers and ended up in California, it was blue at the time, I did some work on it at the time and knew the car from the UK. The 11,000 miles are not genuine, but may be how many are on it since the rebuild. It was repainted to its original Mandarin Yellow colour.

You're welcome, let me know if you need any more information. It is well documented in AMOC publications it was burnt out and rebuilt, I know the chap in the UK who did it, he was an individual and not a shop. As usual buyer beware.

Here's the history from the AMOC car register.
