Guys, fortunately and unfortunately looks like the F430 is sold and I am thinking about what car I am getting next. This time I want to be under $80k. This will be a weekend driver for me. The only other car besides Ferrari that I am really interested in, is a used Vantage. I am thinking from 2007-2009. Are these fairly reliable cars? What changes were made these years and are extended factory warranties avail? Is there a certified program at the AM dealers, and lastly, if i get a convertible, any real issues with the tops malfunctioning. Thanks. Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

Based on forums and such I have not heard much bad about the Vantage at all. Other more Aston experienced individuals will chime in, but I have really not come across too much negative about this car. Good luck, it's a nice car!

Thanks guys...the Ferrari is not sold now, as 2-3 guys backed out last minute for various personal reasons, nothing to do with the car...oh well, might keep it now...i did go look at a vantage convertible at Desert Motor Cars, 08', was priced a little high...but seems nice.

I recently purchased a Vantage coupe. Great car. It did not replace anything, just an addition to my stable. I had driven several before and taken Aston's performance driving school at Milbrook in the UK and dirven it there so I already knew it and have been wanting one for some time. The Vantage has gone through a fair amount of evolution so just about each year is different from prior years. It is not a Ferrari by any stretch, but unique in its own way and no understated car on the road is more beautiful than an Aston.

We have had a Vantage Roadster for about 6 months and 3k miles. It has been flawless so far.

Thanks for the info. Raptorduck new ride looks awesome! (and the others do too). My F430 might be sold by Fri., so I will start looking more seriously at the vantage, if the transaction goes through this time.
