At the aero club today

I'm doing my licence with a club about 3 hours away and today they were invited to a local club only about 15 minutes away.. so I went along to catchup on a glorious winters day for BBQ and meet folks old and new.

They're a pretty keen bunch.. we have tour group and dates organised to visit Oshkosh 2015.

A car club also was invited but sorry no pics of them.. (think Model T, 50's things with fins etc.. very shiny paint and chrome everywhere..)

The planes were an eclectic mix with everything from trike (which I went up in) to a Cessna Jet.. speaking of which it did an impressive (to me) STOL and just pulled up steeply from a very short takeoff.. and few minutes later came back around for "touch and go" .. but without any "touch".. think VERY low level pass at speed.. only time I've seen this was on Youtube and never thought I'd see one at this club day and was all safely done and very impressive.. no pic sorry..
