Another perspective on the price differential is that the driver-price is the actual value and the garage queen-price is value+premium for the shine of the crown.

Ultimately, it’s all just mental-financial gymnastics and the market is gonna market.

As for me, I’ll drive my car as much as I can and keep it in tip-top shape, because Condition is King.

Ferrari ownership has become fetishized and the cult of low mileage is one aspect.
As the supply of new cars continues to out pace demand the used market will become more rational.

personally, i think the whole mileage thing is just stupid.
yes there is a difference between a car that has 30k miles and one that has 100k or 150k miles.
but to say that a 20 year old car with 8k is worth more than the same car with 20k miles, in the same/similar condition, is just short sighted dumbassery probably invented by one of the slimy dealers we love so much.

in 20 years, when ICE cars are no longer allowed to roam freely, mileage wont mean squat, and many people will have wasted precious moments of their lives putting miles on some pos daily driver instead of driving a ferrari. i dont even feel sorry for those people anymore, i just laugh at them.

IMO, In the past when the number of cars was very limited the mileage was less important as just acquiring the car in reasonable condition was the most important factor as there were so few examples available. Now that Ferrari models are made with far more examples in a model run, mileage will always be an issue since just finding a model is not an issue but rather choosing among all the available examples. Thus mileage will always be an issue in this era of large model runs even in limited editions as usually there were more than just a few made. That’s one opinion I could be wrong? :)

This is the best thing i´ve read on the forum and the reason why i never really could truly love Ferrari as a brand or the their cars.
