Well I just came back from the worst car show(for the Ferrari representative)in Athens. After spending 6 months overseas I arrived at the Athens airport and the first advert that I saw was about the Athens Car show near close by. Beeing tired and all I deside I go and pay a visit to the show on Wednestay(today). Overall it was a good show with many cars(Renault and Mercedes was there with their winning Formula1 cars) and at the faaaaar end here comes the Ferrari stand...Not impresive AT ALL...only 3 cars on display 2 F430 and one Modena but the worst thing was the was they were displayed and they way that the representatives talked to people....like me. I was with my full Ferrari gear 2005 Puma shirt MS hat and all.. I did as kindly if I can enter the area to see the cars and take some pictures but the typical Greek answer.."No nobody is allowed to come in" came out from the mouth of one "gentleman". The funny thing is that they were allready people walking arround the cars at that time with nice suites and ties talking about the cars... I ask hey why they are allowed and I'm not??? "Just nobody is allowed ok?" another person answered. I did ask for the card of the Maager who is in charge and with who can i get in contact (if I want a Ferrari!!!!) and they did gave me one from a lady in charge of the Marketing. I dont know but i never experience something like that ever..Are they realy so strict on who can see the cars???I never said to go in or touch any car just to go near by or enter the area...Not even that.... Major disapointment and furstration. ..I'm sure is not like that anywhere around the world..I'm sure it must be a Greek thing THAT I HATE... www.genesisferrari.gr is the web site of the representative in Greece for Ferrari and [email protected] their e-mail. Note that they didnt even recognise the Y&F card that I have...Whats the point of having it then...???????
Same on the Amsterdam Rai car exhibition. Only was allowed to visit the Ferrari stand with an official invitation form a dutch Ferrari dealer.
I went to the athens motor show too. they had 2 430 and on 612 (NOT A MODENA. ) one 430 was a yellow cabrio full extra. and the other one was a rosso corsa. The problem that you faced was that the day you went was the greek club of ferrari in there and you should had special invitation to enter.
Yes ok it was a 612 you are right...I just saw the photo that I took again...I was just pissed off when I typed that and I was in a hurry.. so is there a Greek Club of Ferrari?????Any web site????Well to get a special invitation I guess you need to own a Ferrari...(that I dont have yet)... Anyway Efharistw poly...
No problem, i was there, if i knew that someone from ferrarichat had come to athens motors show i could have let him in. Yes we made a Greek Official club of Ferrari last month. we have not a site yet but we are some owners unfortunately most of them quite old... I mean between 50-60 years old. I am the second youngest in the club as i am 27 years old. nice to meet you though and i feel sorry for not letting you in. (as a simple member of ferrari club of Greece)
Yiannis, was this the 'Ferrari' you arrived in when entry was refused? Image Unavailable, Please Login
