We have recently moved to the Atlanta, GA (McDonough) area and would like to know if anyone can recommend a good Mechanical/Electrical Systems shop where our '85 308QV can be serviced. All the previous work was done at Manfred's in Naples, FL - great shop. I asked around at T. Rutlands picnic and concourse last weeekend and got a few names but I wanted to see if anyone else had any ideas before contacting them. Thanks.

Since my old mechanic left town, I had my annual round of winter maintenance done at European AutoCare Center in Tucker (http://www.eacga.com/). Don't let the lack of mention of Ferrari on their homepage bother you--they have plenty of Ferrari experience.

    Ric,

I work for Flashback Motorworks. We have a highly qualified Ferrari mechanic that works for us (Steve Kellet). He has been working on Ferraris since that car was new! He has worked at FAF and FOA. Come see what we have to offer. We are in Cumming, GA so even though we are bit up the road I think you will find that it is worth the drive and our rates are very reasonable.

I must second the recommendation for Steve Kellet! He is a brilliant Ferrari mechanic, and he is now my Ferrari mechanic. I am so happy that Flashback hired Steve, he is a super cool guy to talk to, and WOW he knows Ferraris. He has worked on Ferraris since the FAF days!

Absolutely no disrespect meant to Steve Kellet or Flashback, but do you know anything about the work done by Terry Girome and/or George Tyrones at Old World Motorcars? I came across them on a March post concerning PPI's... just trying to be thorough. Thanks.

Terry Girome and/or George Tyrones at Old World Motorcars, they put my clutch back in my 308 after I started replacing it and broke my arm trimming my trees. They did a good job at a reasonable price especially since I had everything in cardboard boxes.

FYI, Old World Motorcars and European AutoCare Center are actually the same business. Terry holds forth at Old World, working on the older model cars, while George runs Euro AutoCare, dealing with newer models like 308s and 328s. Work on any car could wind up being done at either location. Euro AutoCare is right on Lavista Road, so it is easier to get to.

Steve Kellett is no longer at Flashback. He is working at Old World Motorcars, www.oldworldmotorcars.com. They do wonderful work. These guys, including Terry Girone and Tony Lewis, are masters. I would not take my Daytona anywhere else, EVER!
