Atlanta Spotters Thread

This morning, about 11:45:

Yellow 360 spider leaving the HiFi Buys and turning south on Johnson Ferry Road in East Cobb.

(I was just to the north, eating on the outside terrace at Mama Fu's, with my 328 in sight.)

 

Saw a black Maserati GS in Sandy Springs (near the Kroger shopping center.) I wasn't able to hear it but it looked awesome.

 

I saw a titanium 360 spider parked in the driveway of a very contemporary home (shaped almost like a boat) on Powers Ferry Road on Saturday.

 

He must live nearby. I've seen it so much now I don't even post it in here The sound is amazing though, can't get enough of it!

 

Just saw a Maybach on Carter St. in Chattanooga.

 

Silver/titanium 550 or 575 heading north on 400 just past Abernathy today at 1105 am.

Red 360 Modena, heading east on Marietta Hwy (GA-120) passing Coleman Road in Roswell, just before 5 PM today.

I was sitting on the outdoor patio at Coliseum Restaurant in Coleman Village, having a nice dish of Veal Marsala with my 328 nearby. If you're reading this, you should have stopped and joined me!

 

Saw a 328 at Peachtree and Piedmont at 1:20. I tried to chase it down but the lights were working againist me.

 

I saw a 575 next to me on North Avenue near Georgia Tech in the afternoon when it was raining last Thursday (3/31). The color appeared to be titanium and it had really dark tint and aftermarket wheels.

 

Saw 3 F-Cars this weekend.

The first was a 365 gt4/bb going south on 400 in traffic.

Second today was a 360 with what looked like red CS seats going down Suwanee Dam road around 1-2pm.

Third was a 360 Spyder near Georgia Tech this afternoon. Top was down. 2 people in the car. Looked like they were playing with a jap bike a few lanes over.

 

Today saw a red 355 off Holcomb bridge road and 400 and a yellow 360 going through old roswell

 

the 365 was me. car was running good until my clutch cable broke sunday! made for some interesting driving... it's now back in it's happy place (flashback garage).

 

Car looked great, sorry to hear about he clutch cable.

 

Everyone was out this weekend! Saw a 348 friday night going past 3 dollar cafe on roswell. another 348 sunday in midtown along with two vipers in midtown. 355 and of course that red countach was out again yesterday in buckhead, a friend of mine told me that it was the guys only car! how hot is that!

 

A Countach as an only car?!! Thats awesome.

But would you really drive it in the rain and other adverse conditions?

Thats gotta be expensive as crap to maintain that.

 

Silver 550 in the hourly parking lot at Hartsfield.

 

Saw the new Porsche GT in Brookhaven, the carbon fiber thing in silver with yellow accents. A few very young guys (20-22) were in it parked outside their house and a 360 was up the drive with a few other people hanging around. They flagged me down in my lowly 308 and we chatted for a minute or so. Nice car but I don't like the styling.................

Also saw a green Murcilargo convertible leaving that trendy resturant in Cabbagetown. That is one sweet car.

 

the Countach is his only car, I have been in it and it runs like really well. It is one of the original carb cars that they only imported 16 of. The rest were all conversions. That car used to be white back in the day, he did a complete color change, factory sport exhaust(totally rare), and the factory wing.

Late this afternoon: black 355 heading eastbound from the intersection of Roswell Road and East Piedmont in East Cobb. Was that an FChatter I waved at?

 

Just got a call from a friend who saw a 550/575, silver with red interior, on Highway 16, about 30 miles outside of Macon... Atlanta plates, great exhaust...

 

Been away from this forum for a while, but still lurking. Saw a real rarity last Saturday afternoon, a 348 Challenge street car. Black/tan with the top off and tunes playing. This was on Cumberland Blvd, headed towards 75. Sounded great!

Saw my first F430 today in Duluth. I hate to say it but coming towards me it reminded me of a Gallardo.

 

Black or dark blue 360 coupe on Ponce turning at the Donut store intersection. Should have had his lights on btw.

 

I saw a SMART car last night!!!!!!!!! It was turning onto peachtree in buckhead, forget from what road, but it was hot, small and silver. I want one!

 

I've only seen one here in atlanta, and that was several months ago, but there's a dealership in Florida that's importing them now. I don't know who's doing the federalization though.

I want one too !
