Nice acquisition, Ed. Very unique and from the outside at least appears to be well-optioned. Also (lol) who else offers 612s in their rental fleet? Can't be many.

 

That would be me in the Porsche Turbo. I'm from East Cobb. But I've not lived there in years!! My family does. I came in town this weekend to visit family and stayed at the W in Buckhead.

The Body is full Techart GT Street with GT2 wing done by CEC. 800+hp built and tuned @ Vivid racing.

I saw that Gallardo Spyder at Cactus car wash when I was pulling out. Apparently it's Yo Gotti's car.

That abandoned building on Piedmont used to be "Formula 1 Imports", the hottest exotic dealer in the south back in the late 80's, many many memories there, specially when they had a dozen or so Diablos on their showroom floor.

 

Spotted a beautiful white Maybach 57 on Peachtree Road....

The abandoned building is soon to become the Havana Club. 16,000 square feet of high end entertainment. It may also be the designated hot spot for the new Southeast Ferrari Owners Club chapter meets/events.

 

Imagine that! I had never noticed the building until today. Glad it will be used for something!

I can't make up my mind whether I like the R8 with the painted sideblade or with the carbon blade - thankfully I am not putting in an order but I am still torn.

 

When the car originally came out, I was completely opposed to the blade in any other color than the body's, but after seeing almost 30 R8s on the road, I vastly prefer the cars with the carbon blade. It would look odd on some cars - the dark blue one for instance - but in general the full body-colored cars look a bit more blobish and lots less dramatic than the cars with the carbon side blade. The most striking R8 I've seen was bright red with a carbon blade (Oct. 10 '08 in Atlanta).

A nice selection of cars tonight. 1st was a white Lamborghini Gallardo roadster parked at Maggianos. 2nd was a black Ferrari F430 spider with red interior and black after market wheels. I observed this car twice but I was not in a position either time for a photo. 3rd was a black Ferrari F430 coupe, also with black after market wheels parked at Aja. 4th was a red Ferrari 355 spider traveling down Wieuca. 5th and 6th were exiting at the same location, a red Lamborghini Gallardo roadster and a black Lamborghini Gallardo roadster at ''W''. 7th was a black on black Audi R8 traveling down Piedmont.

That new Z4 looks awesome. just FYI, I always see a TONNE of exotics on north point parkway near all the business complexes, most are on GA Tech plates so I can only assume a lot of them work in the Microsoft building just off North Point.

 

anybody catch a picture of the front of the new black scud? wanted to see if it had a yellow stripe.

 

It didn't have a stripe, it was all black. I know the car you are talking about though, saw it at FoA during the kids ride event, it really stood out with the bright yellow stripe.

 

My first car spotted tonight was Chris and his famous blue Murcielago not only driven in the high 90 temps but open for all to admire. A different kind of shot but neat to view. Second car was a orange Lamborghini LP560-4. I included both a day and a night shot at Lenox and "W". Third was a black Ferrari F430 coupe at Phipps. And finally tonight was a real treat to view, a dark red Ferrari 575 SuperAmerica at Aja. I first shot this car last year at a local BMW store here in Atlanta.

Great spot of the 575 Superamerica! Naturally on one of the few nights all year I don't make it to Buckhead.

Hi Andrew, I was eating at the restaurant ''The Elbow Room" right next door to the spot Chris left his Lambo running. A few friends of mine related to me that they heard him first. I had to retrieve my camera from the car to snap the shot. Thank God they had a balcony. As far as the wheels, I went back into the restaurant before he left so I cannot comment on them.

Hi Doug, I was so thrilled to spot the SuperAmerica on the road but since it was dark outside a clear shot was not to be. Also the car was so quiet. A Murcielago, Superlegerra, F430 Scuderia can be heard before coming into view. A different class of car I know but it should sound as good as it looks.

Some nice spots on this Saturday. 1st a silver 360 Modena with after market wheels and tagged in California. 2nd a orange Lamborghini Gallardo roadster. 3rd a red Ferrari F430 and 4th was a dark red Ferrari 456 GT.

-the same 360 that Horse-power saw earlier at Phipps, there were a ton of people around it and this was the best picture I could get
-all silver R8, I don't like these all in one color, the sideblade really sets it apart and this one is just boring

That R8 is Ice Silver with an Oxygen Silver Sideblade, so there is some contrast, but I would like the the Carbon Fiber Blade better myself.
